Forests of the World

This year’s theme for the C.J.Dennis Literary Awards celebrates the International Year of Forests. As well as the open sections for poetry and short story, there are themed categories for entries about “Forests of the World.”  Some suggested topics are ideas of ethics vs economics, rainforests, flora and/or fauna of the forests, plantations, native bushland, risks from weather, fire, acid rain, food from forests … or anything else you can think of that relates to forests.

Length for poetry is 50 lines, short stories 2, 500 words. Closing date is 22nd July. First prize in each of the four categories is $200.
